A small team, building for our own children first
Otakids is made in Malaysia, for Malaysian families, against the Malaysian curriculum. It started because the tools we wanted for our own kids did not exist.
What we will not do
No ranking. We never compare your child to other children, and we never show a percentile. A parent cannot act on a rank.
No AI in front of a child. Every question and every lesson is written by a person. AI helps the people writing them; it never talks to your child, and it never writes anything about religion.
No engagement games. We do not send notifications to make you open the app. If nothing has happened, you hear nothing.
No selling your data.We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use your child’s work to train anything.
Written by teachers
The learning content is written by a Guru Cemerlang — an excellent-teacher grade in the Malaysian system — against the national curriculum. The wrong answers are written as carefully as the right ones, because they are how the app works out what a child has misunderstood.
